After a time of prayer, the PST reviewed results from the congregational survey conducted in the summer. The information gathered from these surveys provided great perspective to the PST as they determine the characteristics we need to look for in our future pastor. The comments will also be valuable as we begin to interview prospective pastoral candidates so they can understand where LHBC is during this interim phase.
After that, the PST continued its discussion on how to engage the congregation as we begin our pastor search. There was an agreement that a church-wide meeting will be most helpful. We want the congregation to be scripturally and prayerfully prepared going into the meeting. There was much discussion to finalize the logistics of this meeting.
The PST discussed engaging the staff for help in drafting key documents such as the church profile and job description. Don, Moses, and Trouper will have further discussion with the CAT.
